Paul Michael Romer is an American economist. He is the founder and one of main contributors to endogenous growth theory. Thereafter, he was named as the "father" of new growth theory. He is also a Senior Fellow at Stanford University's Center for International Development and the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, and was chief economist at the World Bank. He was received Nobel prize in Economics in 2018.

 

The lecture was chaired by Professor Zhang Weiying at Peking University.  Attendees included professors and students from Peking University, researchers and experts from China Construction Bank, Citic Securities Co., Ltd, Cinda Securities Co.Ltd, China Development Bank and Development Research Center of State Council, etc. The lecture was warmly welcomed.
