The Foundation cooperated with the International Cooperation Centre of NDRC to hold the New Bashan Cruise Conference, held in Beijing on 27 November 2016. The Foundation organised a special half-day session on issues in strengthening competition in China. The conference aims to build a high level platform for experts from overseas and China to discuss issues of economic reform in China. At the conference, the Foundation reported on its findings and recommendations from its project on “Accelerating China’s Growth by Strengthening Competition: Some International Perspectives”, and introduced its latest project on “Strengthening China’s Fair Competition Review System: Lessons of International Experience”. Senior officials from NDRC, SAIC and project specialists gave presentations at the Conference. Over 100 people from major Chinese government departments, research and academic institutes participated in the conference.
